I've heard of different versions of Windows Essentials. Any peculiarities in them? Do I have to update versions if I change, for example, the operating system (from 8 to 10)?
I want to use the latest version of Windows Essentials on my Windows 10 computer. Can you guide me on the installation procedure? Please, tell what should I need to do in case I'd like to update Windows Live Essentials?

You might encounter issues with the WLE because of compatibility. By default, the package is compatible with the following versions of Windows: 32- or 64-bit version of Windows 7, or 32- or 64-bit version of Windows 8, or Windows Server 2008 R2. As you can see, there is no Windows 10 version supported.
To install them, right click the installation package and choose Properties > Compatibility, then select Windows 8 from the list and tick the Run As Administrator.
Launch the package and continue with the installation procedure. The update will take place automatically, if the WLE remains installed after you upgrade to Windows 10.

There are 48 languages available for use with Windows Live Essentials. If you select a language, it will apply to all WLE programs. Usually, if you want to use a new language, you have to download it first. These steps will help you get the language that you want :
Close all WLE programs.
Click on the Windows Start button. In the search box type LangSelector and select the app from the results.
Under What language do you want to use?click on the drop-down arrow and select your preferred language.
If the language you select isn't installed yet, make sure you're connected to the Internet so that you can download and install the new language, and then click OK.
If asked for download allowance, click Yes.
WLE installer will install the language. When it's done click Close.
Open any of the WLE programs to verify that it's done.
I have a perfect Internet connection, but every time I'm trying to install WLE, it says I'm not connected to the Internet and fails to install. Can you help me?

This product has been designed to work on Windows OS. There is no support for Mac environment. However, the previous version of Live Messenger is now built into Skype, and Skype is available for Mac owners. This is the only component available that is Mac-compatible.
If you don't have a good Internet connection or you want to save time if installing on several computers, you can download the appropriate installer package according to your operating system. To install Windows Live Essentials offline:
You'll be asked if you want to save the file or run it. You should click Save.
